My Photo

from a one-stoplight town to a hollywood housewife

  • I am an Oklahoma girl somewhat misplaced in the City of Angels. I spent six years working in reality television, but my true passion is writing. I live in Hollywood with my new baby and my darling husband, who is nothing like you'd expect.

I cannot WAIT to meet Little Miss Pigtail. And Andy will LOVE this photo...!

When I opened this post, I thought, "Is that absolutely LAURA'S belly?" And yes! Yes it is. This is very, very fun.

Lulubelle Pigtail sounds like a grand start to what is sure to be a swirly, twirly, saturated-in-fun life for BGT. I also cannot WAIT to meet her! (but yes I can. she needs to cook a little bit longer, so you take care of yourself, you hear?)

I love that picture! Lulubelle Pigtail sounds like the perfect name for a children's book- you can write and your hubby can illustrate!

I could hardly catch my breath over the picture! My Dad used various iterations of Lulu (from Little Lulu, the comic strip), Belle, pigtail, and willie. Who knows where the others came from? Pigtail Willie, Lulubelle Pigtail, and so forth. He would have loved our little Pigtail.

I am glad to know Jeff is still doing art, I would love to speak to him about getting an original piece. (on my belly) ha ha. No but seriously tell him to keep up the great art!!!

    Andy

well if you insist on the belly shot, might as well give it a face.

lulubelle pigtail, what have you gotten yourself into.

Oh, Laura! I think it was when we were in elementary school when we last saw each other (at an MHS Homecoming parade). It's SO nice to "get to know you" again from your blog. I sure miss the days when I could sit and write like you do. Need time, rest, and inspiration and have been lacking with the first two. My writing actually stopped when I got married. Sounds like we have a lot in common as adults and it's great reconnecting with you, if only through the internet. Hope to see you soon!

    Great belly!

    what are the peacoat papers?

    • Peacoat papers started out as the greeting cards I made, but I've shifted my focus towards writing. So now it's the writings that are the peacoat papers.
    • Why peacoat? I just like the sound of it.
    • I like crafty things. I write about faith, and relationships, and searching for home. Always, always, searching for home.
