My Photo

from a one-stoplight town to a hollywood housewife

  • I am an Oklahoma girl somewhat misplaced in the City of Angels. I spent six years working in reality television, but my true passion is writing. I live in Hollywood with my new baby and my darling husband, who is nothing like you'd expect.

That last line really made me sigh! :) Your anniversary was the first thing I thought of when my morning coffee kicked in and I realized what day it is. What a beautiful way to celebrate today! I love this. All the best to you and your man today and so many wishes for MANY happy returns!

Happy Anniversary Roomie!!! It seems like forever ago, yet just yesterday that we celebrated in Savannah, if that makes sense. Sending lots of love to you guys today and toasting you from Nashville :) And I'd say the number ONE thing you did RIGHT, was finding a wonderful man who loves you unconditionally...that my friend is hard to do!!! I was honored to be a part of your memories and can't wait to make more. Miss you

My shoe comment was an immediate reaction to the pic from above of you with Alyson and Kimmie.

My second knee-jerk is this: I have been blessed to have served as a bridesmaid a number of times. I have seen many brides up close and from afar. When we were lining up with Daddy and you were fussing about your eyelashes getting caught in the veil, all I could think was that you were the most beautiful bride I had ever seen. I kept looking back at you because it was so startling.

Oh yes! Those crab cakes were amazing! Andy still comments on them and he doesn't even like crab (well now he does). And your dress, yes that took all of our breath away, especially from the back.

Congrats on a beautiful year, with many more to come

I had forgotten what a fine looking group of groomsmen you had! and how Tricia the coordinator never even blinked when you first told her there would be 12 groomsmen and 6 bridesmaids.

    what are the peacoat papers?

    • Peacoat papers started out as the greeting cards I made, but I've shifted my focus towards writing. So now it's the writings that are the peacoat papers.
    • Why peacoat? I just like the sound of it.
    • I like crafty things. I write about faith, and relationships, and searching for home. Always, always, searching for home.
