sunday in the canyon - modified stop sign

I love my neighborhood.  It is a little oasis of peace in this large, bustling city.  It is full of artists and professionals, and has an interesting history almost as long as Los Angeles itself.  It is also quirky.  Very noticeably quirky.  Enough to warrant a little feature of its own.
 
I perform a rolling stop at this sign every day.  It's very close to where the Super Pass appeared.

A while back someone cleverly modified it.  From this picture, it sort of looks like a bad photoshop job, but in reality the "R" blends right in.  I think because it isn't reflective like the rest of the letters, the flash on the camera caught it like this. 

I notice it every time I pass.  For some reason it doesn't bug me as much as a dusty old bumper sticker bearing the same message might.
